For over 30 years El Teatro Inlakech has been committed to Artistic Excellence. Founded with the purpose of developing a professional bilingual theatrical company, El Teatro Inlakech has utilized the arts to document and highlight the life experiences of the Latino community. Since it’s establishment on September 15, 1976, the non-profit organization has provided education and entertainment to numerous participants and audience members.

With the opening of The Inlakech Cultural Arts Center on January 3, 1993, the Teatro embarked on a serious pursuit to provide FREE OF CHARGE quality and professional Bilingual/Bi-Cultural artistic educational programs. By offering individuals education and training in a variety of artistic disciplines the Center creates a unique artistic experience that explores the vast array of cultural and artistic traditions from Mexico and Latin America that have been so influential in creating the heritage of our community and our country. In doing so, we aim not only to enrich the lives of our participants, but the lives of those they touch as well.

It is our belief that the mission of our organization is to help our fellow citizens:

* Develop as future Latino Cultural Art Leaders 
* Develop an Appreciation for the Fine Arts, inclusive of Drama, Dance, Music, Visual Art, Literature Poetry, etc. 
* Master basic visual and performing art skills in a given discipline 
* Demonstrate artistic talents at recitals, exhibitions and/or theatrical programs
* Demonstrate Respect for individual freedoms and Cultural Diversity 
* Display a Value for Self and Others.
* Become Productive Cultural (Citizen) Workers.

We believe a successful upbringing in the cultural arts is the foundation for lifelong learning. Recognizing this, we are committed to providing a safe, healthy and caring environment to our participants. The varying roles of the staff, instructors, volunteers and participants of the Inlakech Cultural Arts Center are valued as they contribute to the success of all individuals, fulfilling their dreams. ¿Se Puede? ¡Si, Se Puede!
